From a very young age, Kirksey was given the opportunity to learn about aviation from her father, an F15 pilot for the United States Air Force. She knew her true passion was flying the C130’s for the Air Force Reserves- after a visit to the Hurricane Hunters. The Hurricane Hunters are an aircrew that fly into tropical cyclones in the North Atlantic Ocean and Northeastern Pacific Ocean to gather weather data.
Kirksey’s goal here at Crosswinds Aviation is for each student to reach their goals, dreams and maximum potential in the Aviation industry. She approaches each student as individuals, making the lesson plans easy to comprehend and most of all, fun.
“I want each of my students to find their motivation for flying and do whatever it takes to reach their goals and potential. Even if that means staying up all night and accidentally falling asleep with your books! The best thing you can do for yourself is showing up with a good attitude and prepared for each lesson.”
-Kirksey
“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure.” -Colin Powell
